Overview

This exclusive, one-hour webinar chaired by Dr Douglas Wright (McMaster University, Hamilton, CA) provided a practical, imaging-focused deep dive into the assessment of mitral and tricuspid valves for Transcatheter Edge-to-Edge Repair (TEER).

The programme was designed to support confident decision-making during transcatheter procedures, with a focus on imaging quality, procedural guidance and clinical outcomes.

Through expert-led presentations and interactive case discussions, Dr Steven Promislow (St Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, CA) presented the fundamentals of mitral valve anatomy, with a focus on key structures relevant to TEER planning. Dr Federico Asch (Georgetown University, Washington DC, US) presented a case of mitral regurgitation suitable for TEER.

Faculty later discussed key challenges in mitral assessment and shared practical approaches to borderline cases. Audience questions explored imaging nuances, guideline interpretation and procedural planning. They highlighted key imaging markers of TEER suitability and applied current guidelines to real-world cases.

Don't forget to register for the follow-up webinar on Tuesday 28th April at 20:00 BST / 19:00 EST, where the faculty will take a deep dive into TEE, discussion the standardise step-by-step TEE protocol for consideration of TEER. Register here

Note: The live version of this webinar was accredited, the on-demand is not.

This webinar is supported by an unrestricted educational grant by Abbott.

Key Learning Objectives
